BOARD CHAIRMAN

Paul is a seasoned banker with experience spanning banking operations, marketing and investment banking. He was an Executive Director of UMB Bank (then Merchant Bank Ghana Limited), overseeing the Investment Banking wing of the Bank.

He was an active member of the Bank’s team which structured the mechanism for the dual flotation of AGC on the Ghana and London Stock Exchanges. He was a key member of the advisory team which handled the privatization and listing of SSB Bank Limited. He was team leader for the privatization and listing of SIC Insurance Company Ltd., and GOIL Ghana Ltd. He has been team leader for jobs such as the rights issues of PZ Limited, and the rights issues of Mechanical Lloyd; the valuation of Ghana Textile Printing Company, Tractor & Equipment and Benso Oil Plantation Ltd (during their spin-off from Unilever Ghana Ltd.) and, the corporate restructuring of Wahome Limited. His exposure spans all the major activities of banking; foreign and domestic operations, marketing, credits, branch operations and investment banking i.e., corporate finance and issuing house services asset management, stock brokerage, project finance, structured finance, etc.

Paul trained as a banker in the United Kingdom with the Emile Woolfe College, London, and qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, United Kingdom in 1986. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, England and Wales, and Chartered Institute of Bankers Ghana (FCIB). He holds an MBA from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, and a BA (Hons), Dip (Ed) from the University of Cape Coast.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Nana is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bora Capital Advisors. He has over 20 years’ experience in the investment banking industry in Ghana and has worked on several major transactions in Ghana and the West African sub-region. Prior to founding Bora Capital, Nana was the CEO of Fidelity Securities and Head of Investment Banking within the Fidelity Group for over 5 years.

He has worked as a Regional Investment Officer in Ecobank Capital, responsible for capital market deals within West and Central Africa. He also served as Head of Corporate Finance at UMB Bank (then Merchant Bank Ghana) where he led major landmark transactions within banking, mining, breweries, automobile industries.

Nana has an MBA from Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota in the USA, BA Economics and Computer Science from the University of Ghana and is a Chartered Banker (ACIB from both England & Wales and Ghana Institute of Bankers).

Mrs. Letitia Sarfo

Letitia Akosua Osei Esq.

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Letitia holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She completed her professional law programme at the Ghana School of Law and now a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association.

Prior to obtaining her Law degree and certificates, Letitia graduated with First Class Honours in Business Administration (Marketing) and held a Masters degree (MBA) in Management Information Systems from the University of Ghana Business School. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana (CIB).

Before her call to the Bar, Letitia worked for over 19 years with a number of Banks in Ghana including Ecobank Ghana and Société General Ghana (SG Bank). She has considerable banking experience in Marketing, Sales Management, Customer Service, Strategic Management, Credit Appraisal & Analysis and Risk Management. At Ecobank Ghana, she was a Senior Relationship Manager with the Local Corporate Unit. At Société General Ghana (SG Bank), she held various positions including Head of the Middle Office, Senior Business Credit Analyst and Head of Call Centre Unit. 

As a Business Consultant, she brings to the team a wealth of rich experience and in-depth industry knowledge having been exposed to the various industries and sectors.  Her areas of interest include Banking and Finance Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital & Money Markets, Commercial Litigation, Company Law, Construction Law, Family Law, Land Law and International Arbitration.

William Mensah

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

William has close to 17 years of experience in the investment banking industry in Ghana. Prior to joining Bora, he was an Executive Director at Life Spring Capital Ltd, where he managed a portfolio of public companies and managed a proprietary private equity fund that invested in private businesses across several industries.

He is also the Non-Executive Chairman KiddiFund Mutual Fund Ltd and Non-Executive Director of EDC Balanced Mutual Fund Ltd. William previously served as a Non-Executive Director at NDK Capital and also as Head at EDC Stockbrokerage where he was involved in many transactions including the IPO of Ecobank Ghana Ltd, Transol Ltd and ETI. He is additionally a course instructor at the Ghana Securities Industry Course organized by the Ghana Stock Exchange and has been an Adjunct Finance Lecturer at GIMPA and Ghana Technology University College.

William has an MSc. in Finance from Cass Business School, City University in the UK, and a BSc. in Land Economy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Edith Essiaw

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR​

Edith has over twenty (20) years of experience in management and supervisory roles across Africa with proficiency in accounting, auditing and economics. Until recently, She was the BTO Cycle Manager for Air Liquide where she facilitated and oversaw their digitization program and implementation of Navision 2016 ERP across subsidiaries in West and Central Africa.

Edith also previously doubled as a Managing Director for Air Liquide Botswana and a Finance Director for Air Liquide South and Eastern Africa Area, managing the Group reporting needs for the area comprising Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique and Madagascar. Prior to joining Air Liquide, she was the Audit Senior for PwC Ghana (then Coopers & Lybrand) and then a Chief accountant and eventually General Manager for Africa Online Swaziland Pty Limited.

Edith has an MBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and holds a BA (Hons) Accounting & Economics from University of Ghana, Legon. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana as well as a member of the Institute of Directors – Ghana.
